Post-heat interviews are often bland affairs. They’re generally a mash-up of a few of the same lines regurgitated over and over again. “Stick to your gameplan,” they all say. “Waves look really fun. I’m just glad to be here.” Etcetera, etcetera.
Stephanie Gilmore’s interview after her win at the Corona Bali Protected at Keramas, however, had a few things that set it apart from the average interview. Of course, Steph’s bubbling excitement is usually good enough to keep the viewer interested, but a grom standing behind her stole the show.
