Jamie O’Brien has seen Pipeline in all her many and varied moods. Good, bad, big, small, crowded and uncrowded. For someone like Jamie, who’s got the surfing part pretty much dialed, the real danger lies in the other people, and recently, it appeared that every single other person on the North Shore was in the water at Pipe.
In fact, he called it the “biggest crowd he’s ever seen at Pipeline,” which is saying a lot since he’s seen it about as crowded as it can get. When the piece of the pie is that delicious, you can’t blame people for wanting a slice, right?
