John John, Nate, and Ivan Florence may be most well-known on the North Shore for their affinity for Pipeline when the place is firing on all cylinders. After all, their childhood home is a stone’s throw from there. But, who would’ve thought the Florence boys are also hobby slab hunters.
Every winter, apparently, a specific little sandbar tends to form creating a crazy little slab that’s not for the faint of heart. “You’re basically paddling in. There’s an eight-foot wave behind you but you’re on a two-foot (wall of ) white water and you’re pulling into a barrel that’s gonna go eight feet wide and two feet tall,” explains Nate in the narration. “What more could you want with a vision like that?”
As we might expect, John John pulls a rabbit out of a hat on a few of these, with plenty of carnage to go around. You’re gonna want to press play.
