The Inertia

Leave it to Brad Jacobson to come up with an idea like this. The man spends a lot of time driving all over Southern California looking for waves to point a camera at but what a lot of people don’t get to see is all the creativity that goes into figuring out what to do with his footage. Or in this case, making videos when there haven’t been waves to speak of and even less footage to work with. But the internet is undefeated and it supplies endless content. Even when it’s something as simple as putting your sleuthing cap on to figure out what questions the rest of the world — most of which doesn’t surf — asks about surfers. So Brad took to Google’s autofill and produced a list of the 10 most searched questions about surfers, some of them absolutely hilarious and some you can’t really blame the landlocked masses (I assume) for wanting to know.

And the 10 most searched questions about surfers are:

Do surfers wear goggles?

Do surfers smoke weed?

Do surfers live longer?

Do surfers wear life jackets?

Do surfers pee in wetsuits?

Do surfers use rip currents?

Do surfers say cowabunga?

Do surfers get attacked by sharks?

Do surfers make money?
