Kai Lenny surfs a lot. So does his brother, Ridge. Since they are the Lenny brothers and people want to see them doing a lot of surfing, they have a GoPro running most of the time. That means they have tons and tons of footage, and much of it gets left on the cutting room floor. But the stuff that isn’t on the floor? It’s good. Really good. And over the years, they’ve racked up an incredible amount of absolutely mind-blowing footage.
In a special edition of the Lenny Bros. podcast, the big wave brothers count down their top five all-time favorite GoPro moments, and if you’ve got anything as close to as cool as these clips on your hard drive… well, you should be proud of yourself, because you’re living life properly.
“I think the reason why we film ourselves in the water is not so much like, ‘yes, I got a clip to post,’ but I like going back and reliving that moment so much,” Kai said. “It’s like riding the wave again.”
