Uluwatu perfect wave

Doesn’t get much better at Uluwatu than it did on June 4. Photo: YouTube//Screenshot

The Inertia

When Uluwatu is firing, it’s tough to beat. It’s the wave you drew in your notebook when you were bored in school; the wave you day-dream about while staring at your local spot at its worst. And on June 4, it got about as good as it can get.

“The day started with morning sickness and some overhead sets,” Surf Raw Files wrote on its YouTube page. “But around 11:00 a.m., the swell kicked in with the offshore trade wind to get an amazing surf day the whole day!”

It was mid-tide for most of the day, which is a good thing for pretty much every section of Uluwatu. “Mid-tide all day meant every peak was working,” Surf Raw Files continued, “from Secrets down to Temples, Bombie, the Peak and Outside Corner/Race Track!”
