We already knew that Cape Cod surfers — like all cold water surfers — were a special breed. Suiting up in these conditions requires a passion and set of balls that are bigger than the typical passion and, er, set of balls. We recently got a glimpse of Nantucket, half-frozen and firing, bringing in the sort of Slurpee waves that made us overheated southern Californians (it is 90-plus degrees this Saturday afternoon, no joke) shiver from the mere sight. But professional and pioneering wakeskater Brian Grubb likes to take it next level, and he continues to do just that with the latest edit to drop on his jet-setting journey around the world, this time finding himself in Massachusetts.
Now we’re headed to Cape Cod to vicariously swim and skate through a mine-field of icebergs. The ever-battle-ready Grubb is on a mission, winch pull system in tow, and we’re tagging along: from Dragon’s Tail in Sarajevo to the frigid northeastern United States we go.
Dude is loving the cold front Massachusetts and the surrounding states are experiencing for sure. Snowmageddon delivers again.
