Kevin S. Weiner is a neuroscientist at Stanford University, the director of Public Communications at the Institute for Applied Neuroscience (scienceforgood.org), and the neuroscience content creator/on air host for mymntr.com. A former captain of his Division I swim team, you can find him in the water when not writing or thinking about the brain. Due to his distance swimming background, OB in San Francisco is the perfect combination of challenging paddling and surfing conditions to give him his water-infused dopamine fix. In writing for The Inertia, he aims to take cool findings in brain science and apply them to surfing in order to give us all some insight into what our brain is doing while we’re walking on water.
