When Waimea is breaking, it is a sight to see. It’s one of the most spectacular places on earth, and there are surfers that spend their lives waiting for it to break. There are a lot of really good surfers on Oahu’s North Shore, and getting a good one at Waimea is high on nearly everyone’s list.
Luke Shepardson, Chris Owens, Landon Mcnamara, Mason Barnes, Sebastian Correa, Matt Bender and a handful of unidentified chargers went for absolute broke, and many got both the waves and the beatings of their lives.
