“Unsponsored” surfers are really making waves right now. Last week, you had Laurie Towner making a case for not only best unsponsored surfer, but one of the best surfers period. And now you have Kyle Galtes making good down at Bali, enjoying some serious air time and a handful of aggressive cutbacks. The whole sponsor thing doesn’t seem to matter to these boys — and we respect that.
