While competing on the World Qualifying Series, Nicole started bringing a camera on tour, using downtime between heats to document the women around her and the stories often overlooked in surf media.
After her competitive career, she began publishing photography and features focused on women in action sports. Her work has appeared in Surfline, Surf Shot Magazine, Surf Life for Women, SG Magazine, and SDGLN, and her photography has been exhibited at the Huntington Beach Surf Museum, the California Surf Museum, and the Surfing Heritage Museum.
Publishing online led her into a career in search engine optimization (SEO), where she now works as a freelance SEO consultant, helping brands grow through content-driven organic strategy. Today, she blends digital strategy with editorial instinct and is returning to her roots, once again exploring storytelling through surf, culture, and women’s voices in action sports.
