The Inertia

Kids these days, right? Always on their phones, sitting in front of the tv, never outside, no discipline… you know the story. Well, not these kids.

Shane Dorian is raising his children, eight-year-old Jackson and six-year-old Charlie, in a way that most kids would envy. Sure, they might get hurt. And yeah, maybe some kids like sitting in front of the television all day. But getting hurt is part of growing up–both physically and mentally–and sheltered kids are unhappy kids.

Learning limits is something that can only be learned by experience, after all, and an appreciation for how amazing our world really is can only be learned by getting out in it. Jackson and Charlie?  Well, they’re learning and appreciating every single day, and they’ll be better people for it.
