There’s a reason Conner Coffin is one of our favorites – the phrase “speak softly and carry a big stick” comes to mind. The Santa Barbara native simultaneously comports himself with a level of humility that’s hardly paralleled by his peers and yet he’s often heralded as the lead torchbearer for the next generation of “power surfers.” Think pedal down in a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS as it careens around a hairpin turn and you get a sense of how Conner Coffin puts it on rail.
So, when this little number slid into our inboxes, we knew it’d be a must watch. To cut to the chase, Indulgence is a selection of free surf clips from the last year that were too good to be collecting digital dust on a hard drive. And where does the name for the short come from? Here’s Conner:
“Ryan [Perry] and I had a blast working on Indulgence over the last year! Essentially it’s just a compilation of footage we have gathered in between events at some of my favorite waves to surf around the world. I was super fired up that Social D helped us use ‘Indulgence’ as they’ve been one of my favorite bands to listen to for pre-surfs since I was a kid. Seemed a fitting title for indulging in some amazing waves around the world.”
