These guys were probably checking their wetsuits after this session. The video above was posted to the YouTube channel of Paul DeCuir last week. “While looking for Red Snapper and Grouper 30 miles off the Orange Beach (Alabama) coast in the annual Flora-Bama fishing rodeo (sic),” reads the caption, “we came across a Great White we estimate was 10-12 feet in length. You can’t see it in the video but this guy had some big teeth!!!”
You can hear them yelling back and forth, trying to warn one another. The shark in the video isn’t the biggest to ever swim in the Gulf of Mexico, but when you’re spearfishing you’re among the elements, and you can feel pretty exposed when an apex predator swims past.
