The feeling has been pretty much universal: Anthony Bourdain’s recent passing was humanity’s loss. By all accounts, he was a fantastic person, well liked, extremely-well traveled, and the type that could make others feel comfortable. In this edition of his CNN show, Parts Unkown, Bourdain looks at the new Ethiopia, a place that is undergoing an economic rebirth.

In the episode, you can see the way people gravitate towards Bourdain. He was one who brought people together. “Thank you, Anthony Bourdain, for your spirit of adventure, your appreciation of diverse cultures, your sense of values,” wrote Tony Hawk, who was among many who posted tributes on social media to Bourdain. “And for bringing attention to the skate scene in Ethiopia. You will be dearly missed.
