The Inertia

Kai Lenny’s been making an enormous effort to up his small-wave surf game. There’s no doubt the man can take on the biggest and gnarliest surf in the world, and his prowess in foiling and windsports is relatively unmatched among pro surfers. But when it comes to the technical game of small-wave surfing (which to Kai basically translates to overhead and below), historically he’s stayed pretty quiet. However, the past year or so has seen Kai take on small(er) waves with a vengeance, as he strives to become the best waterman the world has ever seen. In the video above, Kai takes a little trip over to Mexico to continue to hone his small-wave surfing. And because it’s Kai, he brought a number of toys with him to do so.
